Location
Ballavayre Cottages are located in the small hamlet of Ballakilpheric, near the village of Colby in the south east of the Isle of Man.
Colby has a church, general store, pub/restaurant and is on the main bus route (see timetable) and steam railway line (see timetable). We are situated approximately one mile north of the Colby main road (see map).
The nearest shopping areas are Port St Mary and Port Erin, both of which have bowling greens, tennis courts, churches and pubs, and boat trips to the Calf of Man. The two villages are just three miles from Ballakilpheric.
The Island's airport is Ronaldsway and is situated at Castletown the ancient capital of Mann and is approximately four miles from Ballavayre Cottages, it too has shops clustered around the ancient and spectacular castle. There are museums and also a golf course nearby. The whole area around is excellent for bird watching and walking.
